Welcome...
For almost 20 years I have pursued giant
whitetails in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba and
along the way I've met hundreds of hunters with horror
stories about their experiences with their outfitters.
Rely on my experience to guide you to a great outfitter.
Western Canada offers the true trophy
hunter the chance to take and see the largest bucks
on the planet. These hunts are not for someone looking
to just fill a tag. If 150" or better deer are
what you're looking for, let my experience work for
you. I know and hunt with each and every outfitter
I book for. My business is not fueled by money, but
by my desire to put you and myself in the best places
to kill monster bucks. Location is at the top of the
list in the equation for taking big bucks, but the
guides and outfitters need to be whitetail savvy and
dedicated to making your hunt successful.
Weather can and does play a huge role
in whitetail hunting. I feel that weather plays
60% or more and varies from year to year. The cold
weather associated with Canadian whitetail hunting
is a great asset to success. Not only does it make
the deer move and rut harder but it helps with stand
placement by insuring a constant wind direction.
Hunting in cold weather requires good
equipment and warm clothing. The cold takes its toll
on cheap scopes and binoculars. The money spent for
the best you can afford will pay for itself many times
over. Bolt action rifles need to be degreased and
practiced with well before the hunt.
Clothing should be quiet and warm fleece
with Ravenwear being my choice. Pac-type boots are
best for sitting long periods, with lighter weight
boots for walking. Warm hats and gloves are extremely
important.
A positive attitude is a must
for trophy whitetail hunting and is perhaps the most
important piece of the puzzle. Confidence in your
guide and outfitter must remain high, after all that's
why you paid to go on a guided hunt.
Good Hunting,
